OUR TWELVE SENSES

(Weekly, 7th September to 23rd November 2020; details below)

—-an on-line course accessible for all those interested; ESPECIALLY parents of school children of all ages.

WHAT are our twelve senses?

HOW can I enhance my own awareness of these twelve senses in my own path of development?

WILL I have a better understanding of what to do to give my developing child what he or she really needs?

Rudolf Steiner’s perception of the Human being is based on the insight that spirit comes to expression in matter.

An excellent example of this is how we work with our twelve senses.  We wish to help the child’s spirit —- their ‘self’, to take hold of the material body in a healthy and wholesome way.  They need to be, at home and at school, in an atmosphere which allows them to, virtually, come to their senses. For to live in our senses is what connects us to the world and allows us to be practical and creative beings on our earth.  The fully functional senses are not a “given” at birth. To develop in a healthy way,  the senses need to be nourished by what comes toward them from the child’s environment.  Some senses are the familiar, obvious, ones such are sight and hearing. But to be fully human, other, more subtle senses need to be be developed as well.  How can we wake up to these subtle senses of, for example, Life and Thought and find the distinction between, for example, the senses of Word and Speech?

OUR TWELVE SENSES: a course for everyone who is looking for real answers on how to work more effectively with their children and with themselves.

We have an extraordinary panel of professionals from throughout New Zealand presenting this topic for you.  You will come away with a totally new view of how your senses work and with new, practical, ideas on how to work with your child and with yourself.
